Weekly Update

Overnya, weekly update. But I want to stick up some stories all together in this oh-so-awesome post. Pfft. (Post ini sgt gedik krn sy bosan)

My sick birthday

I was a sick old duck, remember? So I didn't celebrate it like I did the years before. Kena denggi pulak, jgn main main. Siap lebam tgn kena check darah over and over again. Seriously biru! And on my birthday, I balik kampung. So the celebration was more like a lets-eat-all-together type. Beli cake kat Mesra Mall, which the service was terribly bad! Horrible! Tp kitaorg yg dia layan dulu so idc. Then beli KFC kat Awana Kijal, which the service was EXTREMELY HORRIBLE. Berkali kali ganda teruknya okay. Waited for 30 mins for 60 pieces of chicken! Sungguh teruk service, bagaikan menunggu ayam sedang masak di dapur. Cewah, mmg pun. But family makes it better :) Ramai-ramai makan, jadi happening gitu. And klong gave me a mug as a present with me photo on it! Awesome tk? Awesome kan. Tp malas nk tunjuk haha (Y).

Missing the cake factory

Over lagi. Padahal bakery Sal. Sal went to jenguk the UM peeps and she brought them to her bakery. My lovely battanians were there (sorg dua) and Zubai. Hahaha nmpk tk gedik di situ? Told ya so. Nak ikut but can not. Sobsob.

Denggi

Tiba tiba cerita denggi balik. Okay so here's the story. I was sick from Sunday, went to the clinic on Monday (given paracetamol), sick again, went to clinic again on Wednesday (given antibiotic), was better. Went to the Pet Shop for Keisha's treatment (her badan has all these kudis, kesian dia). FAINTED! FIRST TIME EVER, pitam. I was looking at Keisha on while she was treated. Then it started to feel different. Keisha tiba tiba bermuka dua. Then bam, I was on the floor. Dropped for few secs. AWESOME EXPERIENCE haha. Dah la veterinarian handsome, pengsan dpn dia pulak tsktsk. So left Keisha in the pet shop for a while and went to the clinic in front there, check darah. Jeng jeng jeng, 'saya suspect, SUSPECT ya, yg awk ni kena denggi. WBC, platelets awak rendah and awk dehydrated.' Apaaaaa?! Cewah, over. Then I had refer at the Emergency room at the hospital. The dude yg jaga in front (handsome jugak lol) checked my blood pressure and temperature (which I feel was NOT appropiate sbb dia pegang pegang and check telinga. Mana org pompuan nk buat keje tu? Huh). So he brought me in and tiba tiba 5 docs came and asked questions and amik darah and masuk air. And had to stay there for an hour lebih (thank you Syalin & Kina for texting with me all along hehe). The next day check darah lagi, not fully sihat but was better. And then balik kampung. Should have checked darah there, but my arm was blue, literally, so stop amik darah (suka hati je) and hopefully now I'm fully HEALTHY. Perut pun boroi sbb selera dah ada balik tett.

The best kampung ever

Ini lagi satu. Kijal je pun. But it IS the awesome-est kampung for me at least. Why? Because my cousins, pak cik, mak cik all very cool. Very the hebat. OME. And I just love living in the rural area. Tenang and care free. Oh, Kijal is in Terengganu. Near the beach. Another cool thing is that you can know the whole kampung. 'Anak siapa ni?' 'Anak Seri, cucu Wok!' 'Owhhhh.' But yeah, kat sana byk 'benda', but who's talking?

Got the news that Afiqah Athirah got 9A's! Wohoooo! Congrats Comel yg comel. You really deserved that! So now SABDA ada 47 people got straight A's ya, harap maklum. Kami hebat.

Conclusion of the week;

1. Let girls do what they should do, especially doctors. Laki for laki, ladies for ladies. Tak payah main sentuh2 yg tdk spttnya okay. Sedih. Future docs, please.

2. Demam belagak demam. Don't act too strong, tkde guna. Ttp dilayan mcm org sakit tenat.

3. Don't give up. Never EVER give up. Trust me.

4. Kahwin cepat, bina rumah kat kampung, sama sama menge-tua di sana.

5. Ilmy friends walaupun di mana mana mereka berada.

Sick ugly duckling

Sick for 4 days until now. Barely eaten a proper meal. Vomitted 5 or 6 times, and still counting. Eaten about 20 pills, but now have stopped a while. My tooth aches. Haven't showered for days. My hair's oily. I have hibiscus water on my head. Yes, I am one sick ugly duckling. And guess what, my birthday is a couple days away. Quack

Oh My English!

Assalamualaikum! I have to wait till after 5pm for something very important. So while I'm at that, I'd love to share something. 
So yesterday I was randomly searching stuff on Youtube and I came upon Oh My English channel there. I've watched them on tv, the commercials but not the real show, since the real show starts at 10am on a Sunday. Zzzz
So I decided to watch a lil on youtube. And I never found a Malay show that brilliant! Okay not brilliant. But it was good stuff. And how else would you learn something other than entertainment? If you'd ask me to teach English, haa! Bertuah. English ain't easy to teach, yet learn. English teachers are really up for it. Ayu and Ismah are really brave for taking TESL *clapclap*. OME is really funny and tells us what we've doing wrong all along. And how bad we really sound all along. 

So here's a little OME session.

Similar to the commercials and the show itself;

Burned bread is not roti bakar. Toast is roti bakar.
Gostan is not undur. Reverse is undur (for cars).
Follow the car is not dgn menaiki kereta. By car is dgn menaiki kereta.
Pass up the book is not hantar buku. Hand in the book is hantar buku.
Borrow me is not pinjamkan saya. Lend me is pinjamkan saya.
Open the fan is not pasangkan/buka kipas (which actually is -.- ). Switch on the fan is pasangkan/buka kipas (which I feel that turn on the fan is quite right?)

Well those are some from the show. And from where I stand and hear everyday, these are some more;

I am very the happy right now - why must ppl add 'the' where they are not supposed to? 
I'm sucks - I found this when I was randomly reading something. I'm doesn't go with suck. It's I suck. Full stop.
I has a problem - Of course you HAVE a problem
I think that car very pretty - Missing the 'is'
And lots more. 

I'm not perfect, no one is. I make waaaaaay more common mistakes then any other one would. I used to pronounce OBESE as as OBES, as in from OBESITY. But thanks to Madam Shida, I knew it was wrong :) 
And I used to use american english. You know, football instead of rugby. Soccer instead of football. And the way I pronounce some words are different. Like vase, ikea, nike and all that. Some are wrong but since I'm used to it, wth. Malaysia uses British english so it was really weird when I first heard football as soccer.


For those who saw OME's commercials, you could see how important the language is. When Malaysia started the whole back-to-learning-in-malay stuff, I didn't agree much. First, terms are more practical in English, especially for Biology. Second, when these students further their studies in other countries or in any university, English would be the major language. Dah la seharian tk duk speaking, kang ngango mulut. 

That's another thing! I find it weird saying speaking to refer as talking in English. 
'Fuyoo, dia speaking lah!' 
I talk like that too, but it's weird actually, sort of.

Oh, I watched this show on youtube called QI. It's a show like a quiz, with celebrities which are not the known (or at least not that I know). It's really educational and damn funny. Reaaally funny. Like this video here which is really funny. It talks a lot bout Iceland and snow and ice and penguins and stuff. But fun. And I learned so much in 40 minutes! Like, penguins won't blow up if they step on mines because they are extremely light! Like, how cool is that?!

Okay, that's quite enough. I'm extremely excited and happy, so, yeah. Go and watch OME! on ASTRO channel 605 or is it 610? Can't remember. The actors/actresses are super duper cute/handsome. Another bonus there.
